Surface Preparation (The Foundation)

The key to a perfect finish lies in meticulous preparation. We ensure all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned, repaired, and primed, guaranteeing a smooth and lasting paint application.

• Cleaning: Removing dust, dirt, and grease from surfaces before painting.
• Repairs: Filling cracks, holes, and indents in plaster.
• Stripping/Removing: Removing old, loose, peeling, or bubbled paint and wallpaper. 
• Caulking: Sealing joints around window frames and doors to prevent moisture infiltration.
• Mist Coat: Applying a "mist" coat of paint to new, bare plaster to create a proper, lasting base.
• Protecting Areas: Moving & covering furniture, floors, and trim to protect them from paint splatter.

Application and Techniques

In order to produce great painting finish, I focus on combining the precision of brushes with the speed and uniformity of rollers. The most professional results often come from using both in a specific sequence known as "cutting in" followed by rolling.

• Painting: Applying emulsion to walls and ceilings, as well as gloss, satin, stain, or varnish to woodwork.
• Methods: Using brushes and rollers for different effects and efficiency.
• Exterior Work: Painting exterior siding, fences, and masonry, often involving scaffolding.
